Whirlpool WHER25 Review

If you are looking for a really affordable, but still efficient solution for the filtration of your water, this product will most probably meet your needs. A reverse osmosis system is still the best and healthiest way to filter your water. If you are not looking to invest in super expensive products, but still want to add an extra filtration – read further!

The system has only the mandatory 3 stages of filtration. But don’t be misled by this. It will supply you with pure, fresh and healthy water and will serve you well. Manufactured in the USA, NSF certified and tested by a third party to ensure performance and with an UltraEase filter replacement, this system gives you the confidence to drink fresh water from your faucet.

Rated as Best Filtration for Pennies Per Gallon and Consumer Best Buy, this is a device for unpretentious users, that are looking for simple, affordable and efficient solutions.

The system will also work very well for your summer villa or guesthouse that doesn’t have big needs.

Whirlpool WHER25 3-Stage Under Sink Reverse Osmosis Filter SystemFor the price and the 3-stage process that you get, this product performs very well. It has a very decent performance in comparison to the some more expensive but still viable RO systems. The device will remove all unhealthy contaminants such as lead, chemicals, fluoride, copper, TDS, arsenic, chlorine taste & odor and many more.

It will be better than bottled water for sure and will allow you to save some money. The Whirlpool WHER25 will not produce large quantities of water but if you want to purchase it, you should already know that. Waste of water will be between 3 and 5 gallons depending on your water pressure, temperature, and contaminant load.

An important piece of advice is to use your softener, if you have one, before the system. The RO system will reduce the sodium levels in water increased by the softener. You might also want to add a whole house carbon filter right after your water pressure regulator and before your reverse osmosis system in order to keep sediment out of the line.

And in case you want more, you will probably need a second air diaphragm tank. The system itself is rated to produce 14 gallons a day, but reports show it is just enough for a family of 4. The system is used both for well and tap water.

The set comes ready for installation. It includes one dedicated filtered water faucet, a filter set, a two-year membrane, a water storage tank, installation fittings, color-coded tubing & push-in connectors. You also get the all-important Lithium Metal batteries. There is also an EZ Change Indicator Light that will let you know when you have to change the filter. But you can use a TDS Meter as well.

Installation and maintenance

An advantage of this product is the convenience it gives you when it comes to replacing filters. No need to open anything. With just a quarter turn and without the need to turn off your water supply, you will be able to replace cartridges when needed.

It is recommended to change the pre and post filter every 6 months and the membrane – every 2 years. It very much depends on your water and its contamination levels. The system comes with installation instructions, but be careful – if you do this for the first time and are not really into plumbing, you might need help.
