Overview
Woder 10K is a budget choice that will give you the confidence that you have healthy water to drink right at your kitchen sink. NSF certified the system is a dependable choice for your home or RV.
An important note before you continue reading – this product is exclusively designed to be used with municipal cold water only. If you have salty or softened water it will not do its job. The same goes for well and hot water.
Unlike other popular under sink water filtration systems that could be connected to the hot water, this one has no such capabilities. But that doesn’t make it worse. No, the product is reliable and will produce healthy and tasty water for you for a long time.
Performance
This filter uses microparticles, so it carries far more ingredients. This gives it higher capacity – it will purify your water for around 3 years while remaining optimally effective.
What it removes is essential for every filter you purchase. This one will remove lead (99.9%), heavy metals, chlorine (99.9%), chromium 6, mercury, volatile organic compounds, carcinogens, and other contaminants, as well as turbidity, odors, and bad tastes. That is fairly enough for you and your family to have great, healthy water.
What’s more, because of its selective filtration the essential minerals in your water will be sustained. Unlike most of the RO systems for example. If you have had an RO system, you might find the taste a bit mineral at the beginning.
Regarding the flow rate – it will not be reduced significantly. According to the manufacturer, it is 2 GPM. The recommended temperature is 43 – 100 degrees. The maximum pressure of the flow is 125 PSI.
The estimated longevity of the device is 10 000 gallons or 3 years whichever comes first. Don’t forget the 1-year replacement warranty.
Features
This filtration system is made of non-BPA or vinyl chloride plastic. It is 3 x 3 x 15 inches and 2.9 pounds in weight.
The set comes adjusted and ready for installation. It includes a filter, head with a built-in valve, inlet hose – 3/8-inch female compression by ¼-inch standard pipe thread, outlet hose- 3/8 m compression by 1/4 standard pipe.
Installation and Maintenance
The installation should not take you more than 10 minutes. All you’ll need is an adjustable wrench. The device is connected directly to your cold water line so you don’t need an additional faucet. It should fit under most standard kitchen sinks. When the limit is reached and you have to change the system, you will need to remove the whole thing though.
